Joss Whedon = Made of Win
Jul. 29th, 2007 04:01 pmSo, holy shit, people. I wish I could have been at Comic-Con. Not only is everyone there, not only did Neil Gaiman receive a snog from Jonathan Ross along with his Eisner Award, but Joss Whedon revealed the amazing load of stuff he's working on. And it's awesome, folks.
-Buffy season NINE promised, and Oz will be returning!
-Joss is working seriously on Goners (finally) and is getting together with Drew Goddard to make a movie called A Cabin in the Woods that will be "the horror film to end all horror films". This should be interesting, given Joss's very clearly expressed dislike of torture porn.
-Joss is writing a comic called Sugar Shock for Dark Horse's Myspace page. I haven't seen it but I'm sure it's good.
-He's writing a ballet for Summer Glau- he's just finishing the score. It's going to be for a short film called The Serving Girl. Ballet. Joss does EVERYTHING. I'm just wondering when there's going to be a Broadway musical.
-He's working more with Fray. There may be more!
-Serenity collector's edition comes out August 21st. Included will be many more deleted scenes (such as the extended Fanty and Mingo scene) and the River Tam Sessions.
-Angel Season 6 comic is a sure thing, and Dark Horse will be producing it sometime in the near future. December, I think?

-Negotiations are just finishing with the BBC for a ninety-minute special of.... Ripper! Anthony Stewart Head will be returning as Giles to tell the story of his younger years. JOSS WHEDON + TONY HEAD + BBC = SO MUCH LOVE.

ETA: Also, the first four eps of season three of Weeds have been released, and are very well seeded on the torrents sites. GET THEM NOW YOU KNOW YOU WANT THEM.
