Dragon*Con

So, all of you of my flist or otherwise, who's going to Dragon*Con? As I live near Atlanta, it is a significant decision for me whether or not to go, especially as I have no one as of yet that I can cling to. And who will protect me from being groped by the nerds with no social skills, unlike us nerds who just roast marshmallows over the flames of fandom wars in our spare time. In any case, if I do end up going, I'd love to meet some of you folks I talk to so often!

i went when i was in high school (middle school?) and i have always wanted to go back. i don't know how much tickets are, but i might check it out. since we're so close, and i know you might be going now, i would like to go :)

I think the tickets are around $65 for the whole weekend? But I'm totally not sure. Mostly I'm interested in the Whedon track and the writing track. And I know some fandom people who are going. But I only know them from passing them in the comms and occasionally reviewing their fic.

I know for a fact that I will be there friday. Quite possibly the whole weekend. Friday I'm supposed to be in a contest with some folks. Dunno which one. A friend of mine is turning me, himself, and a few others into kitties. Well...tigers I guess. I'll be a tiger. I'm so excited, I've never been.

It would have been nice to go, but probably too expensive. Now that my van is dead, the chances have dropped from small to zero. :(

My friends are total nerds and go every year, so there's a possibility of me going, maybe. I haven't really thought about it, but I saw some really cool stuff about it and well, I've always sorta wanted to be one of those nerds who dresses up and acts a fool with all the other nerds dressed up and actin a fool, soooo... maybe?
