I. In Runaway Bride, Donna holds up Rose's shirt that was left in the control room. WHY WAS THAT BLOUSE IN THE CONTROL ROOM. I mean, there's the official fandom stance that they were shagging, which is an obvious conclusion. Or it could have just dropped out of that enormous rucksack Rose had filled with her laundry. Or is there any other reason Rose could have been flinging clothes around the control room for people to find and the Doctor to angst about and then go curl up and huggle? Cause you know that's what he did.

II. In Army of Ghosts, when Rose and Ten go into the flat, Jackie grabs the Doctor and snogs him thoroughly. However, Rose has no problem with this, laughs slightly and pushes past. I mean, wouldn't most people have a problem with their mother snogging their boyfriend? What does this say?

III. With this moodtheme, the 'curious' mood has Martha tilting her head. This is depressing and makes me not want to be curious.

I love you. <33333

I. I have actually brought this up on my lj before! Right here! After months of deliberation, however, I think the TARDIS put it there as some sick way to torture him. SNIFF. ('Cause it SO wasn't there at the end of DD.)

Or they took the time to have a quick shag before popping off to see Jackie in AoG. This obviously makes the most sense. There was excited clothes flinging or some such.

II. Clearly, Rose thought this was as hilarious as the rest of us. :D She was treating him like a son-in-law! It's so cute!!!

III. Poor FA and her two facial expressions. *SIGHS*

I. That was a rather depressing thread. I will pretend it is a future plot device prop to bring her back.

II. It IS cute! And perhaps Rose was just over-anxious to get to the washing machine. Thus the excited clothes flinging from only minutes before. However, I do find it somewhat remarkable that the only true canon snog (one that wasn't fixing a gleeful time vortex or under the influence of Cassandra) between a Tyler and the Doctor was from Jackie. But most importantly: OH THE DOCTOR'S FACE. AHAHAHAHAHA.

III. After all this time, I really really kind of want to like FA and Martha. But... *wibbles* I would also chip in money for her acting lessons and more money to the show's writers.

For I., I once read a story in which the Doctor needed something with Rose's DNA in order to contact her through the breach. Thus, he brought a shirt up to the control room. Or maybe Rose was just a bit messy and had gone through a couple of outfits on the way to Mum's and left a couple of things in the control room. Dunno.

For II., I agree with the previous poster: Rose thought it was cute and hilarious to watch the Doctor's reaction. Just like the rest of us did. The kiss wasn't an "I want your body" kiss; it was "My darling son-in-law's brought my daughter back for a visit! I must smother him with affection!"

I. That's a pretty good idea! Also, I'm sure Rose was a bit messy. Wasn't her room rather a wreck in the first few minutes of 'Rose'?

II. Hehe, yes. I wish she had said that! I guess one reason why it stuck out to me was because of her behavior with Nine- "There's a strange man in my room, anything might happen!" :P

I. Well, I tend to assume we're meant to overlook the fact that the shirt wasn't there at the end of Doomsday, but I won't pretend it was there through all of AoG&Doomsday. Also, in my personal canon, it's been a while for the Doctor too between Torchwood and Norway adn at some point in the middle the shirt wound up in the consol room. Like for a while he was carrying things of hers around like a security blanket and that shirt just got left there one day.

II. I think Rose liked that Jackie had gotten comfortable enough with the Doctor to act like that. Jackie is a bit overly friendly with people I think, and she's always been so upset with the Doctor, but by that point she treated him like part of the family. I like to think this wasn't the first time it happened either, or at least that it's been building for a bit so it wasn't a huge surprise. Though I can't really offer much evidence for that.

I can definitely see the safety blanket situation. It seems like him and would explain why he got just a bit wound up when Donna was holding it. "Miiiiine!"

Also, I like your interpretation that Rose is happy about Jackie's familiarity- that also seems evident in the way they all sit around the tv later, the Doctor sitting on the floor; it's very homey and comfortable. Damn I wish season 2 could have gone on longer and we could have seen more of that family dynamic.
