She's just so talented at both... I dunno, I'm just trying to figure out why I'm not quite as fond of American Doll Posse as I am of Fade to Red or Tales of a Librarian, and I think those two have more emphasis on piano.
Well, Tales is a greatest hits album, so, ya know, it's going to focus on the quote-unquote best. I actually adore ADP; I think it's her best album in a while, and it is definitely a much more rock-heavy album. T with the band a;ldfjas;ljfal;sjfal;fjal;f. Hot. I love the concept of ADP as well, and the concerts were incredible.
Well whaddya know. Listened to ADP today with this idea of it being actual rock music and not, I dunno, eccentric-piano-singer-songwriter-something genre, and suddenly it was 12,098,345,098,509,845x better. So THANK YOU for inspiring a mental shift, Katie! *HUGS*
I am a wee bit obsessed with Tori, it's true. ADP is awesome, so I'm uber pleased you enjoy it more. (I think my love of it stems from my other favorite Tori albums being Choirgirl and Pele, but it's, you know, every album is different and I love them all (for the most part :)). Do you have all of her albums? Seems like you must. If you need anything lemme know, and I shall upload.
Lessee, I got a lot of songs from "A Piano: The Collection" (mostly I torrented and just picked and chose what I thought looked interesting), ADP, Fade to Red, Strange Little Girls, Tales of a Librarian, To Venus and Back, and The Beekeeper (including the little packet of seeds that came with the disc, which is still pinned to my bulletin board until the day where I grow horticulturally-prone and actually plant them.) I really love her more piano-oriented songs- "Cornflake Girl" and "Winter" totally blow me away, for example- but I am getting a new appreciation for all the other styles she uses. So maybe upload an album or three that you think I'd like, and perhaps a note on how they're each best enjoyed. ;)
