Eleventh Doctor announced.
I'm actually chortling about this, really. I had fun watching Ruby in the Smoke (a little less with Shadow in the North, but whatever) because it's a fun story with Victorian costume and murder mysteries and menacings and Billie Piper and frankly that's all I really ask out of some movies. As Jim Taylor, Matt Smith did a more than adequate job portraying the Jim I knew from the books and I rather liked him. It cracked me up a bit, later, when he and Billie met again in Secret Diary of a Call Girl when he was Tim, the Hookup That Wouldn't Leave. (Jim? Tim? What's next, we'll find out the Doctor's name is actually Kim or something?) So now that he's coming into Doctor Who as Eleven, it seems like they're just keeping it all in the family.
