Ahead: One of those film student posts.

I was finishing up my marathon of Being Human last night (NEEED MOOOOARRR NAOOOO) and I was especially interested in the last scene, and the colors used.

When Owen's in the psych ward/prison getting interviewed, he's wearing grey and red. Now we know that Annie has been wearing grey all along because she's a ghost and that color scheme sort of shows how she exists in the grey shadowy parts of the world. So what does it mean now that Owen is wearing that color? Besides being suddenly scared shitless that Annie & Co. can probably find him anywhere he goes, does it mean any other ways that he has joined the world of ghosts? Is Owen dead, y'all? And who the fuck is this dude reporting to whatshisname, The Professor?

As for the red, that seems to definitely refer to Annie's blood on his hands, IMHO.

Thoughts, people?

Song that is tangentally related to Annie and Owen.

You and Frank Sinatra - Thea Gilmore (who I will never, ever stop pimping to you.)

Midnight radio station is keeping me from sleep,
you and Frank Sinatra make one hell of a team.
So I guess I'll drain the bottle and just leave on the lights.

In some twisted way I just love how Owen can be shown like that- he's not some melodramatic villain, he's just a fairly normal utter douchebag who took a step farther. And how all his power is in Annie's mind because he can still hurt her even when she's dead and completely beyond him. BUT THEN SHE IS AWESOME AND FIGURES THAT OUT AND OWEN FREAKS THE FUCK OUT. <3333

Ooooh, interesting color thoughts! I hadn't thought about it that way... but I wouldn't guess that Owen is dead. Maybe the grey signifies his awareness of the spirit world though?

God I fucking adore that show.

Yeah, I don't think he's dead either, but I do think that association isn't an accident, and I do wonder what it could mean. That scene is just very sharp when it comes to colors and I think things are being foreshadowed, but I don't know what. *loves*
