dd_dexter are completely fucking retarded.
(I mean last week it was all OMG WHO DO YOU THINK SHOT DEB and I was like "...um? Ep's called 'Dex Takes a Holiday', Deb and Lundy are at a hotel on the bay looking all vacationy and in lurve, and Miami PD are really focused on the Vacation Killer or whoever this ep. HMM I THINK THEY MIGHT BLAME THE VACATION SHOOTER." And several people appeared to be astounded by my absolute brilliance.)
But anyway, holy hell, last night's ep. Somebody commented over atdd_dexter that he's developing more feelings, which I think is reading a bit much into it. Show!Dexter is obviously not as sociopathic as book!Dexter, but he's still extremely emotionally handicapped. However, I do think he is developing more understanding of the people around him, knowing that not only do they have feelings (even if he does not share them much) but he is starting to realize the force and reasoning behind the behaviors those feelings cause.
What I started that paragraph meaning to say, however, was that I thought Dex was going to tell ANYTHING about himself first to Deb, then to Rita. They both confronted him directly, then called his bullshit, and he got out of it both times. And really? It's getting to the point, or maybe it's always been this way (probably), that I really want him to be honest. Maybe not even about what he does in his spare time, but just how he is and that he faces certain challenges in his life. Oh dear, feelings are building up, I'm probably near some sort of fic combustion point.
