You’ve been surviving for centuries and what’s life without some enjoyment thereof; it isn’t your fault if other people fall in love with you. If there’s more than one of them. It’s not that you don’t get that it sucks for them, it sucks for Elena to look just like you and get all that doppelganger attention, but it’s a shitty world. You’re Katherine, who always floats to the top. And whatever Damon happens to feel about that… well, you can’t control Klaus coming after you, you can’t control weird werewolf prophecies, and you certainly can’t control a Salvatore brother’s feelings. Author notes: This fanmix is not to be taken too seriously and I barely ship these two at all, I just think that the unrequited love storyline is so hilarious when they're both such terrible people: they really deserve each other, and torment each other so well. LOL DAMON YOU WILL NEVER HAVE YOUR SHIT TOGETHER.

Otherwise, I tried to make musical choices that reflected Southern artists and the tone of the show. Enjoy!
