I'm still keeping busy trying to get hired by someone who will pay me shitloads of money. And sleeping a lot, it feels like.

Anyway, more about TVD and a little Nikita since I don't get my Once Upon a Time fix til tomorrow.


One of the things I absolutely miss the most about old!Stefan is his friendship with Caroline and how she helped fill the hole Lexi left. I loved that they could have each other's backs and have great talks and it wasn't, well, something more for Caroline to shout EVERYBODY NEEDS TO JUST STOP KISSING ME about. 

So I and Elena know that Elena is not going to be the Good Girl whose True Love saves Stefan from his dark side. If anyone is going to do it, it'll be Damon. But I would definitely like to see Caroline have a hand in it. Stefan taught her so much and gave her hope to keep on living. He helped her feel like getting murdered didn't have to mean her life stopped, and that she could still control herself and love people and be even more of herself than she'd ever been before.

I would love it so much if Caroline could return the favor, and remind him that just because he's closed a chapter of his life doesn't mean he has to be hopeless, and give up, and just sit around basements carrying out others' revenge plots. Strangely enough, in his turn to the dark side, Caroline has really been the one person who hasn't been there trying to fix him into what they want.
 


I don't have much to say about Nikita, but yay! Alex and Nikita are fighting on the same side again! :D Except Alex should still have access to Division, right? This should get good....

ME TOO. I swear, I kept waiting for her to just slap Stefan upside the head and say "Stop acting like an asshole, I am having relationship problems with Tyler and I need your help."

Damon's definitely going to be the one to Save Stefan From Himself, but you're so right, Caroline needs to be in on it as well. It's so weird that the writers haven't brought that relationship to the forefront when it was such a big deal last season. I keep thinking there has to be a reason for that, but I have no idea what that reason might be.

I know, that is weird. I guess it's probably just a natural result of spreading the plot so wide so that not everybody gets facetime in episodes, but... I just want the two of them together, and I want parallels and balance between how Stefan helped Caroline have hope and a new life, now that Stefan needs that as well.

Oh, it'll definitely be Damon in the end. But I just want at least a few scenes with Caroline- I don't think she can save the day entirely, but this show does like it's parallels and recurring things and so I think it would be a very nice circle for it to come around, with Stefan having shown Caroline the hope that she could still have a life, and then if she could bring him some of that. Lexi was going for shock therapy because she didn't have the time she needed... but perhaps Caroline has something different to offer. I just feel it would be quite fulfilling, narratively speaking.

I MISS THE CAROLINE 'N STEFAN BFF VIBE AS WELL. :| I am excite for Bonnie and Stefan to get some screentime together, but Caroline and Stefan were just so precious together.

Oh yes. Caroline/Stefan might actually be my biggest ship squick on the show? (lol INCEST IS COOL MAN BUT DON'T HOOK UP CAROLINE AND STEFAN #issues I have them) But it's precisely BECAUSE the relationship is platonic and there are no hidden sexual agendas that makes them so wonderful together.

I love their relationship for just that too and ITA about that being the biggest squick... I will cheerfully read them as platonic life partners, but the sex just does not work. (I pretend Elena/Alaric is my biggest squick. And it's pretty big. But yet I read the fic and squick myself out ANYWAY just because I need more Elena and Alaric interaction. FML.)

old!Stefan/Caroline friendship was precious. It was sadly under-funded as well, if there is such a thing.

Their friendship was so great! I just need more of them. And Caroline probably has even less patience than we've seen for Stefan's shenanigans anyway. This seems like a really good reason to me to lock them in a room together, right?

ME TOOOOOOOOO. They each have such a great dynamic with her and I'm sometimes tempted to rewatch s1 just because I miss how things used to be.

Ita! Caroline's viewpoint on all this new!evil!Stefan shit would be really interesting to see!

He practically handed her his vampire morality that she has faithfully tried to follow, as well as being her rock, in many ways. She ought to be way more hurt and betrayed and confused and bluntly devasted about this.
