I've been working on some Ten/Inara graphics for sonic_tea and while this is far from the end of my efforts I thought I'd post some of the icons, headers and wallpapers I've already made.
Okay. Um. Wow. No, really - wow. Those are AMAZING. There is so much hot on my screen right now, I can't even stare at it too long. What two really, REALLY gorgeous people. Damn.
I have to say, I think I like the last banner the best. Something about the colouring. Gah. Are any of these gackable?
Yeah, go right ahead. I was going to email that banner to you and then I forgot to include it in that last email I wrote? But please, do whatever you want with it. Like use in in sonic_tea and make my joy complete.
I'm randomly annoyed at the moment because photobucket has resized all my wallpapers to like 600 pixels wide or something. Ah, well, if anybody complains I can email them the file.
Hee, I really like that banner too. I made it while sitting in Political Science class this morning, because that's what I do in that class, instead of giving my rapt attention to Dr. Shock mumbling about Sandy Springs waiting thirty years to become a city and Buckhead wanting to separate itself from Atlanta.
Yay, I'm not the only obsessed one making graphics! These are awesome and so very pretty. If I could figure out how to add a header to my LJ, I would snag the blue one. I will, however, snag the icon version of it. I've been too lazy to make another Ten/Inara icon myself. :-)
If you set your layout to Smooth Sailing you can do a lot with it; it's a very flexible format. If you have that, and maybe you can do this with other layouts but I don't know, you can go into the custom CSS sheets and say Yes, you want to use this stylesheet, and Yes, you want to use an external stylesheet. And then there's a code you stick in the bottom. For example, mine is
Would it be all right if I lightened up the icon a bit? It looks a little dark to me and everyone should see how awesome Ten and Inara look together. :-D
I'll have to fiddle around in CSS before I adopt a header, but your explanation has given me a good start.
FANTASTIC, all of this! Simply gorgeous. I love your style. It's edgy, but still puts the focus on the characters -- and by the way, I have been fangirling icon 5 for ages. :D :D :D

.pageheaderblock { background-image: url("http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/intrikate88/steampunkerycopy.png"); background-position: top center; background-repeat: no-repeat; padding-top: 325px; }
and you just fill in your own url and the vertical pixel space.
I'm glad you like my graphics! I had fun making them.
